About Me: Ciao! I'm MariAngela, born and raised in the Bronx, NY. Proud daughter of an Italian immigrant, my journey is a blend of flavors, stories, and the warmth of family traditions.
Roots in the Kitchen: My culinary journey began in the heart of our family home, a small kitchen in the Bronx. My father, immersed himself in the food service in 1965, and has passed down recipes steeped in the rich traditions of our Italian heritage. From the moment I could hold a knife, I became his kitchen companion, and some of my fondest memories were created in that space, learning the stories behind each family recipe.
Summers in Italy: The essence of farm-to-table living and the profound impact of quality ingredients unfolded during my summers in the north of Italy. Nestled in the foothills of the Alps on my grandparent's farm, I discovered the beauty of cultivating and savoring the land's bounty. These experiences not only shaped my palate but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the connection between food and the land.
Motherhood and Dedication: A proud mother of three small children, my days are a whirlwind of laughter, chaos, and love. Balancing the roles of a dedicated Special Education Administrator, a loving mom, and a passionate chef keeps my schedule full. Yet, amidst the busyness, my heart is undeniably full.
Vocation in Education, Passion for Food: While my professional journey led me to a career in education, my heart has always been drawn to the joy of bringing people together through good food. The classroom is where I empower minds, but the kitchen is where I nourish souls.
